Hi all! I'm back! (I used to have a regular blog, but life got sort of distracting...) One of my photographer friends on the other side of the country invited/challenged/suggested that we start a blog and have one interesting photo every day. These photos are meant to raise an awareness of my surroundings, perhaps practice on a particular skill I am trying to learn, force myself to try new things, and just bascially grow as a photographer. Which means that my camera is pretty much going to be strapped to my body at all times, but it basically is anyway. Not sure exactly what direction I am going to go with this. I will obviously be a lot of my own kids but I am going to try to branch out and shoot a variety of other things as well. I will probably be posting interesting and funny stories, since as I am doing this, I might as well document our lives a bit for posterity. I won't promise to be perfect, i.e. spelling, grammar, focus, layout, but will promise to try to be interesting, as there is never a dull moment around here :)
I'll start with this image, which is a special moment I caught between mother and son on a photo shoot a month or so ago. I just love it. I love that you can just barely see the highlights on their eyelashes.
I plan on starting this officially January 1st. Hope you enjoy!
